Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist who currently competing within the UFC flyweight division. She is the sister of fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her journey as an Muay Thai boxer. She first made an appearance in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the competition and beat Suzane Mill at the end of the tournament by a unanimous decision. After this win, Antonina signed an UFC deal. Antonina was offered an UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko was victorious through a unanimous win, however she fell in her following fight against Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina recovered from this loss with a win over Lucie Pudilova during UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler through rear-naked-choke submission. It earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night.
