Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist who currently competing within the UFC flyweight division. She is the sister of fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her journey as an Muay Thai boxer. She first made an appearance in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the competition and beat Suzane Mill at the end of the tournament by a unanimous decision. Antonina then followed up with took home a silver in 2007, and a bronze in 2008, and then a gold in 2011, and was the 2016. IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012, she took home her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 she won the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win by a unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko won her first professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She took victory via TKO at the end of second and she went on to win two more fights in the WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. The result was the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko had a brief break from MMA in order to focus on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous vote, after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She resigned from the organization and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized her strike skills for the fight to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. After this win, Antonina signed an UFC deal. Antonina was offered an UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko was victorious through a unanimous win, however she fell in her following fight against Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina recovered from this loss with a win over Lucie Pudilova during UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler through rear-naked-choke submission. It earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko lost 1-2 in the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, but lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina recently lost by TKO in the second round against Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Fight Night Santos. Walker.
