Aurora
Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1997 in Stavanger and is professionally known as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase as AURORA is a Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is a May 2015 release from Decca Records. It has received high praise from the media and bloggers. Half the World Away - by Oasis is a cover for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two of the most notable covers the singer has created. The singer gained further attention via a blog post from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her song Runaway. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding the piano in her attic then becoming enthralled by the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes advised her to use music for the sake of personal development, and not as a way of earning money or for as a hobby. As a result, she began writing the music she composed herself. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as influences as well as an appreciation for the style of Bjork. Her mother encouraged her to perform her songs in public, not in order to be famous, but in order to show others how important they are and what they can do for the world. She was suggested by her mother to be able to perform her music publicly in order in order to make people aware of the importance of their work and how they can affect the world. It was not until she turned 14 when she shared her story with her parents. Aurora was not a dream of her childhood. Her sole passion is writing music. For her, the music she composes is how she feels about anything.
